歷史沿革
普雷特耶修道院是現今斯洛維尼亞唯一活躍的的加爾都西修會(Carthusian)。這些身著白色長袍的僧侶屬於羅馬天主教會中最嚴格的修會,在修道院的牆後隱居,過著嚴謹沉默而有秩序的生活,工作祈禱沉思著。普雷特耶修道院是由斯洛維尼亞采列地區(Celje)的赫爾曼伯爵二世於1403年在哥里昂奇山(Gorjanci hills)下一個偏僻的村莊建立。修道院後來被土耳其人洗劫,再由僧侶們重建成一個堅不可摧的修道院並由三米高且長2800米的城牆包圍。

1595年,因為土耳其的襲擊和新教的影響所以減弱了修會的勢力,修道院被盧布爾雅那(Ljubljana)的耶穌會接管,後來整個物業更落入私人手中,加爾都所幸在1899年西修會就將之回購。不過現今仍存在的最原始的修道院建築只剩下哥德式教堂和聖器收藏室還存在,大多數二次重建時的建築和物品,都是因為當時法國驅逐這些僧侶,使得他們只能幾乎是把整個修道院的東西都搬走般的逃離到這裡來成立避難所。而二戰期間,一半以上的修道院包括迴廊和聖室都被共產黨摧毀殆盡。加爾都西修會直至今日還是堅守在這個經過歷史摧殘的修道院裡。

釀酒廠歷史
Pleterje through the vines.jpg普雷特耶修道院的酒窖歷史可以追溯到中世紀。現今的修道院有30公頃的農業用地,修道院的圍牆內就是果樹、菜園和牧場。修道院外是葡萄園、田野和草地,而他們遵循著自然,所有的工作方式都是以生態友好出發。他們種植葡萄、蘋果和洋梨;養羊、蜜蜂和魚;生產自釀的葡萄酒,果汁和水果釀造的白蘭地。

普雷特耶修道院的葡萄園和酒窖就位於斯洛維尼亞葡萄酒產量最少但卻被獨立劃分出來的波沙文卡(Posavska)產區中心的子產區多雷尼(Dolenjska)產區中間。普雷特耶最特別的核心產品就是cviček,一種傳統的斯洛維尼亞獨特的酸紅酒,以當地特有種的紅白葡萄製成,有著低酒精濃度以及令人愉悅的酸度的特性。普雷特耶的酒窖還以釀製乾身或微甜的彌撒專用酒而聞名,以夏多內、灰皮諾、克納(kerner)、威爾士麗絲玲(welschriesling)所製。當好年份來臨時,修道院也會釀造高品質的單品種葡萄酒及氣泡酒。

明亮的黃色帶著細微的氣泡,成熟果實和白色花束、桃子和梨的香氣。清新而溫和,活潑但溫柔的口感與幾乎感覺不到酒精存在的易飲酒款。

2015 Mašno vino, polsladko (sweet mass wine) 9.5%
-40% chardonnay, 30% pinot gris, 20% kerner, 10% others (welschriesling,  gewurtztraminer, yellow muscat).
-Bright yellow in color with tiny bubbles. Bouquet of white flowers, ripe fruit: peaches and pears. Fresh and mild, gentle and lively palate with little to no sense of alcohol. Easy drinking.
-Perfect match with rich desserts based in vanilla, caramel or butterscotch. Pairs particularly well with apple pie, fruit tarts, mascarpone tart, and peach tarragon shortcake, pehtranova potica (Slovenian tarragon mascarpone cake).

淡淡的金黃色,微妙的熱帶水果、蜂蜜、斐濟蘋果香氣。多汁的青蘋果與柑橘類水果的酸香在入口後過渡完成為和諧的甜美尾韻。

美麗深厚的墨紫色,豐富濃烈的水果香氣,由李子和黑莓還有微妙的橡木氣味組成。然而口感清新,果味多汁,成熟滑順的丹寧充滿其中。是一款相當容易享受飲用的紅葡萄酒。

-Beautiful dark, inky deep purple. Big, rich and fruity aromas of plums, black cherries and a subtle hint of oak. Taste is fresh, fruity and juicy, well-rounded with silky tannins. A very approachable, enjoyable red wine.
-Pairs well with grilled tender meats such as filet mignon, lamb dishes, roasted pork, duck, goose and turkey and rich fish such as tuna and salmon.
-Recommended serving temperature: 13~15 degrees.

葡萄品種:Red 70%: 50% žametovka, 20% modra frankinja; White 30%: kraljevina, welschriesling, ranfol žlahtnina, silvaner).
Cviček 是斯洛維尼亞最具代表性的葡萄酒之一。它的秘密就是用當地特有種的紅白葡萄混和製作。它那閃亮如紅寶石般的色澤是最先吸引人的特色之一,而新鮮水果的與紅色果實(蔓越莓、覆盆子、櫻桃)的香味非常的強烈,帶著果汁般的清爽美味的酸度不禁讓人聯想到蔓越莓汁。清淡、爽口、廣受歡迎,是可以當作日常餐酒搭配享受的年輕酒款。

2015 Cviček ptp, (light, dry red wine) 10%
-Red 70%: 50% žametovka, 20% modra frankinja; White 30%: kraljevina, welschriesling, ranfol žlahtnina, silvaner).
-Cviček is one of the most unique wines in Slovenia. Its secret is in blending various reds with white varieties. It has an attractive, light red colour with a slight ruby cast, and fresh fruity aromas, with an emphasis on red fruits (cranberry, raspberry and cherry).Tart and fruity palate reminiscent of cranberry juice. Light, refreshing and easy drinking. An everyday wine to be enjoyed young and fresh within two years.
-The light and neutral character of this wine make it versatile in food pairing. We particularly recommend pairing with light starters, seafood dishes, mushroom risotto, and mild meat and game dishes.
-Recommended serving temperature: 12~15 degrees.

Monastery History
Pleterje Charterhouse Monastery is the only active Carthusian monastery in Slovenia. The community of white robed monks is of the strictest contemplative order in the Roman Catholic church and lives a secluded life, behind walls in silence, work and prayer. Pleterje was founded by Count Herman II of Celje in 1403 in a remote valley next to the village Šentjernej under the Gorjanci hills. It was later sacked by the Turks, and then rebuilt with strong fortifications by the monks. It is surrounded by a three metre high and 2800 metre long wall.

By 1595, weakened by Turkish attacks and Protestant influences, it was suppressed and taken over by the Jesuits of Ljubljana. Later the property passed into private hands and only in 1899 was it repurchased by the Carthusian Order. Of the original Charterhouse, only the Gothic church and the sacristy remain. Most of the buildings date back to the second foundation in the late 19th century. Having been expelled from France, the monks built the new Charterhouse as a refuge, taking with them almost their entire monastic furnishings. During World War II, half of the great cloister and cells were destroyed by communist attacks. The charterhouse has remained a Carthusian monastery to this day.

Winery History
Pleterje Charterhouse’s monastery wine cellar dates back to the middle ages. Today, the monastery cultivates 30 hectares of agricultural land. Within the monastery’s walls are fruit trees, a vegetable garden and pasture land. Outside the monastery’s walls are vineyards, fields and meadows, all of which are worked in the most ecologically-friendly manner. Pleterje grows fruit, grapes, apple and pear saplings; raises sheep, bees and fish; produces wine from grapes, fruit juice and brandy from fruit.

The vineyards and wine cellar of Pleterje Charterhouse are located in the middle of the Dolenjska region. Pleterje’s core wine offering is cviček, a traditional Slovenian wine unique to this region made from traditional kinds of red and white grapes, with a low degree of alcohol and an agreeable acidity. Another traditional offering of Pleterje’s wine cellar is the mass wine, a dry or sweet wine created from chardonnay, pinot gris, kerner and welschriesling. In good years Pleterje also makes high-quality single varietal wines, predicate wines and sparkling wines.
